Angkor Wat, the main temple at Angkor. Khmer civilisation knew its height between the 9th and 14th centuries when the Khmer reigned over vast parts of South-East Asia. The temples in this former capitol (about a hunderd) were build by various kings and are extra-ordinary not only for their majestic, but also for the detailed reliefs that are found on almost every stone.
